Last Fall the town trucked over TONS of dirt and put it in our backyard. Ken's plan is to raise up and level out our land and then seed for grass. Our property has been destroyed by nor'easters and the flooding river three times since we lived here. BUT between the plan to raise up and level out and the work that's recently been done by the Army Corp of Engineers on the damn we are hoping that we will fare better in the coming years.
But there is a lot of work to be done before then!
The dirt....
Noni & Pop came and worked all weekend long!!

A picnic....
Pop & Daddy made a fire and the boys roasted marshmallows after a long hard day's work....
And by the end of the weekend the dirt piles were gone and we could see the river again!
