Eddie's Sleep Study....

This website has really good information explaining more about what a "sleep study" is.

Daddy, Eddie & I grabbed a quick bite to eat at the diner on our way to the sleep study.
Eddie was pretty nervous and we were trying to put him at ease.

The sleep study was at the Excelsior, a hotel in Hackensack.
Dad dropped us off out front......
Eddie & I were really impressed when we stepped into the lobby.....

The room seemed really nice & cozy with a tv and comfy bed and Eddie was getting excited.....

And then Maileen came in and started to explain to Eddie what she was going to do to him....

And then she started attaching electrodes......
everywhere.
on his legs.....
his chest and back......

even his neck.....

Then she started drawing red circles all over his head
in all the places where the electrodes would be going....
(he looks like he's really enjoying this, doesn't he?)

Eddie, as usual, was a really, really good sport!

Every wire led to this box....

Finally Eddie and his handy electrical circuit box are ready for bed!

Looks comfy, doesn't he?!

He said his the one on his finger looked a face and he was making it sing and talk like Elvis...

Eddie thought he looked pretty scary ......
and he loved it!

And then Eddie decided it wasn't fair that he got to have all the fun....
so he asked Maileen if Mom could have some electrodes too.....

My bed....

The beautiful starfish on the sink in our room
(I wanted soo badly to take it home with me!!)

Time for a little bedtime reading...

No that's not a lipstick mark from a big smooch from mom,
that's a big red mark on my baby's cheek from the electrode that was there!
The electrodes were all in place by 8:45PM.
Eddie's usual bedtime is between 8-9PM.
He didn't get to sleep this night until 11PM.
Mommy managed to sleep a little here and there.
Maileen woke us at 6AM and we were home by 7AM.
Good Morning Eddie!

Eddie & Maileen saying goodbye to each other....

Can you see all the red marks that were left on my baby's face?!

Going home!

Two videos that we made.....

How were his results? We went through this with Emily, too. (The red marks are due to an adhesive sensitivity. Not much you can do about it though for that type of test from what I understand. I've got one, too!)

I'm up for a new CPAP machine and have my follow up sleep study (with CPAP to figure out appropriate pressure) tomorrow night actually. Then a follow up a week later and I get to go home with a new CPAP script. Fun, wow!

Give Eddie a smooch and tell him it's no fun for adults either. I check in at 8:30 (and it's NOT in a hotel) and get booted out by 5 a.m.! Where's the fun in that? LOL!
