Daddy, Eddie & I grabbed a quick bite to eat at the diner on our way to the sleep study.
Eddie was pretty nervous and we were trying to put him at ease.
The sleep study was at the Excelsior, a hotel in Hackensack.
Dad dropped us off out front......
Eddie & I were really impressed when we stepped into the lobby.....
The room seemed really nice & cozy with a tv and comfy bed and Eddie was getting excited.....
And then Maileen came in and started to explain to Eddie what she was going to do to him....
everywhere.
on his legs.....
in all the places where the electrodes would be going....
(he looks like he's really enjoying this, doesn't he?)
Every wire led to this box....
Finally Eddie and his handy electrical circuit box are ready for bed!
Looks comfy, doesn't he?!
He said his the one on his finger looked a face and he was making it sing and talk like Elvis...
and he loved it!

so he asked Maileen if Mom could have some electrodes too.....

Time for a little bedtime reading...
(I wanted soo badly to take it home with me!!)
Time for a little bedtime reading...
that's a big red mark on my baby's cheek from the electrode that was there!
The electrodes were all in place by 8:45PM.
Eddie's usual bedtime is between 8-9PM.
He didn't get to sleep this night until 11PM.
Mommy managed to sleep a little here and there.
Maileen woke us at 6AM and we were home by 7AM.
Good Morning Eddie!

How were his results? We went through this with Emily, too. (The red marks are due to an adhesive sensitivity. Not much you can do about it though for that type of test from what I understand. I've got one, too!)
I'm up for a new CPAP machine and have my follow up sleep study (with CPAP to figure out appropriate pressure) tomorrow night actually. Then a follow up a week later and I get to go home with a new CPAP script. Fun, wow!
Give Eddie a smooch and tell him it's no fun for adults either. I check in at 8:30 (and it's NOT in a hotel) and get booted out by 5 a.m.! Where's the fun in that? LOL!
