Ken's on Day 5 in the hospital....

Apparently it wasn't such a good idea to send him home the day of the surgery! I really feel that a lot of unnecessary pain and trauma would have been avoided if they had just kept him that night. Numerous medical people have reiterated to us that the type of injury that Ken has is one of the most painful you can get. So why send him home the same day? It's very frustrating. Yesterday the surgeon told me that the amount of anesthesia and pain killer that Ken was on would have most people comatosed and yet he was still very lucid. He was able to recount to her the whole story from the time of the accident to present including all of the workers comp problems. But the anesthesiologist was not comfortable with the high levels of medication he was at. They are now trying to even him off and find a place where he can manage the pain at home with pills. Ken is determined to get home either today or tomorrow. We'll see.

Noni & Pop took good care of us the last couple of days!
Noni cooked up a storm and the boys helped!
