Brothers Day 2007!

Today was our second annual Brother's Day celebration!

They even have their own Coat of Arms!

Three Knight heads representing the three brothers. A knight is brave, loyal, courteous and protects the defenseless. The red background is also meaningful. Throughout history red has been considered to be the most important color. It was believed that there were protective powers in this color. Objects, animals and trees were covered in red paint. Warriors painted their axes and spears in red paint to endow their weapons with magical powers. When opponents of a game are equally matched , the team dressed in red is more likely to win.

Together the brothers will always be strongest.

Three is the number of good fortune.

It is the good fortune of those who know and love them.

A bond between older & younger brother is forged in blood & tears,

joy & pain, scraped up knees and heated arguments.

It's hard being a little brother, spending your early years always a step behind.

It's hard being an older brother wanting to protect, nurture & teach while also being a bit aggravated by the preferential treatment the baby gets.
