First it was Eddie who was all "hooked up" and now it's Christopher's turn. Christopher had his annual cardiolgist appointment last week and we got some conflicting medical information from the doctor. Christopher has been diagnosed with First Degree Heart Block. The cardiologitsts and EP that treated me following my diagnosis in March with Complete Heart Block said that it was caused by the open heart surgery I had when I was four years old. They assured us that due to surgical advances over the years Christopher would never develop these problems even though he too had open heart surgery. However, Christopher's cardiolgist says that those doctors are wrong and he believes that the surgery did NOT cause the heart block and that it is more likely a genetic issue. He wants both Christopher and I to see an associate of his at Mt. Sinai in the city, Dr. Barry Love. We both have appointments next week on July 2.
Christopher is now wearing a 24 hour holter monitor and the stickies are really driving the poor kid nuts.
