This is something that happened yesterday and just totally cracked me up. Ken & I and my parents were in the kitchen and the boys were in the living room.
The boys were asking for gamecube and I was saying no.
(I am not a fan of gamecube----my boys get too obsessed with it, start fighting over it and it is a big time waster and I think it kills their brain cells and is a huge time waster). So, I took it away. I give it back sometimes during vacations - like Christmas vacation or if they are home sick and really bored.
So, they asked for it and I said no.
They went into the living room all angry at mom and start talking...
Eddie: When we grow up we'll have it in our house!
Christopher: Yeah, and we'll live together!
Eddie: Okay, but is that legal? Go ask mom if that's legal.
Christopher comes and asks if it is legal for them to live together when they grow up. I say yes. He goes back in the living room.
Christopher: It's legal Eddie! We can live together!
Eddie: But we might get married. Don't you want to have a wife Christopher?
Christopher: Nah
Eddie: Why not?
Christopher: That makes me nervous
Christopher comes back in to me and says that they are going to live together when they grow up.
Mommy: Don't you want to have a wife Christopher?
Christopher: Yeah, I'm gonna have a wife.
Mommy is so happy that he has decided he does indeed want a wife. Then.....
Christopher: Eddie's wife is going to be my wife too!
He was so cute and serious when he said it -- I haven't stopped laughing since!
