The boys loved this trip to the Oakland Police Station! First they had to read a map of our town and find their homes, schools, police station and if they could some friends homes as well. Then the boys, using maps, directed their parents to the police station. Once there they saw a movie about safety, checked out a real police car and all it's workings, saw the office and dispatch and even got to go in the jail cells! The boys were all really impressed with this trip!
We followed up the trip with a brief (& yummy) meeting at Dunkin Donuts afterward so the boys could receive the beads they earned for this "go see it."
