My Son the Author!

Eddie has really been getting into writing lately. He is soooo much like me. Reading and writing were always my favorite things to do as a kid and lately I see in him that same excitement

- I can soooo relate!

A couple of weeks ago he said he had a good idea for a story he was going to write and the title was "How the Period Stops the Words" - I thought that was sooo cool!

Then he wrote a story about the Hayes Family getting zapped by Aliens on the George Washington bridge on our way to Noni & Pop's house!

Then the other day when we were checking out a really cool sky he said, "I wish there was only half a sky and then you could see right up into Heaven through the other half."

Maybe it's just me, but I LOVE that thought!

And now he is busily working on a series about Turkeys with Super Powers with a couple of his classmates (obviously Thanksgiving inspired). He is also getting into using "jazzy" words (adjectives) in his writing to make his sentences "jazzier" as his teacher says. Very cool!

I had to post about this because I just think it's so great! I have to start being really dilligent and write down all the things these kids come up with

- priceless.
